Learn how to control cost of governance

How do you control group structure governance costs, the costs of borrowing and managing  development partnerships governance? These are key issues for housing associations, which will be discussed during the workshop at our Value for Money Conference on 10th March in Leeds.

Yvonne Atkinson, director at the Board Development Agency says:

"Many Housing Associations who have set up group structures now find them too cumbersome and costly.  However trying to streamline governance by reverting to a non group structure has not always proven possible in the last few years.  Where this has meant the agreement of funders, they have wanted to agree much more costly refinancing . The vastly increased cost of funding effectively ruled this option out. "

Housing Organisations have found innovative new ways around group structure and communication issues, which we will look at in our workshop. We will also explore how cost consciousness housing organisations are always seeking VFM in development,  and how partnerships and group structures can help. Mike Gaskill of  Trowers and Hamlin Solicitors is leading our controlling costs workshop at the conference on 10th March.  This is your opportunity tackle the issues your organisation has been grappling with.
