Do you have to do an exam?

We will be assessing your learning as you go through the programme. The course is evidence based to ensure the standards have been met. As a vocational award it will be practically relevant to your organisation. You win programme credits in many ways, by talking to us, writing a straightforward report, doing a quick test or by demonstrating your knowledge in front of us.

Is it just pass or fail?

You are probably involved in supporting governance already, so you are going to relate and understand to most of what we will be covering. We are convinced that as long as you are prepared to do the work with our support you will pass! Do not panic assessments can be re-taken.

Is there any homework?

We will expect you to keep a portfolio of evidence of learning, and to complete some work based exercises and to write these up in your portfolios. We will be providing useful handouts full of all the information you need.

How do you gain skills and knowledge?

You will be with other governance support staff and this will be an ideal opportunity to network and share experiences. It will be discussion group type learning - no lectures! There will be interesting and stimulating exercises from two experienced trainers.
