Chris White, MP was elected as Warwick and Leamington's new MP in 2010. Before his election he worked locally in Public Relations, having previously worked at Longbridge with MG Rover. He lives in Warwick, and plays an active role in the local community, serving as a governor of Myton School and as a trustee of the Warwickshire Association of Youth Clubs.

In Parliament, he is a member of the International Development Select Committee and currently has a Private Member's Bill - the Public Services and Social Value Bill - going through Parliament. Chris is also involved with the All Party Groups on Manufacturing, Poverty and the Computer and Video Games Industry to name a few.

Mick Warner is the Assistant Director Assurance & Financial Analysis at the Tenant Services Authority, having joined its predecessor, the Housing Corporation, from Beever and Struthers in 1998. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and also holds the Association of Corporate Treasurers qualification.

 

 

Ron Huss has Ronnie_Hussworked for EPI since 2005 and has a high degree of experience of continuous improving systems across a range of U.K. and Global organisations. Most recently Ron has been working with major U.K. not for profit organisations. Ron currently leads the Public Sector practice at EPI and is a specialist in cost and efficiency optimisation. He works closely with clients and he feeds this experience into the development of EPI's product and service offering.

Ron has recently been involved in a range of improvement projects in social housing helping registered providers reduce costs whilst maintaining if not improving service levels.

Ron has a degree in e-Business and a Masters in Supply Chain and Operations Management.

George Arkless joined the Haddon Hall Resident's TMO in 2005 to help steer the boards development and governance plans. He became secretary in 2006 and has been Chair since 2007. He champions VFM, tackling fuel poverty, the environment, social exclusion and youth issues.

A firm believer that TMOs can be a catalyst for social change and can have a much wider social impact on local areas. 'TMOs invariably offer high value for money and produce some of the social return for investment, with benefits ranging from improved services to tackling complex issues like anti social behaviour'. George is currently an inspector for the Good Governance Kitemark run by the NFTMO and an exec member of the NFTMO. He is also one of the administrators on TenantBook.

Hugh Laird is a qualified housing professional of 33 years experience, working for 19 of those in housing management for Local Authorities and Housing ALMOs, eventually becoming Deputy Chief Executive of a Housing Association.

Hugh has been a housing consultant for 14 years and has also been a board member of a Housing Association. Hugh specializes in rescue packages for housing organisations and has helped those who have needed advice and guidance on disciplinary and dispute issues. Hugh has over 15 years experience advising, reviewing and training in governance in the social housing sector. He has led training for 25 years including directors' development programmes and has developed a full expertise in the full range of Governance issues. He is a member of the Social Return on Investment Network .

Yvonne Atkinson is a solicitor with 18 years experience of working at board level in large public and private sector organisations. She was a board member of a Housing Association for six years and formerly held the position of Deputy Chief Executive in a Local Authority. She has also run a successful social business providing training.

Yvonne is a qualified Organisation and Executive coach and is passionate about governance. Yvonne has developed and written six Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) endorsed governance programmes for the Board Development Agency and has spearheaded their groundbreaking governance review toolkit. Yvonne has also led Executive and Organisational coaching diplomas with groups and individuals.

Ita Cooke has over twenty years experience in the housing and voluntary sectors - up to director level, with the Housing Corporation. She is MBA qualified, with strong analytical and diagnostic skills and is an expert in organisational governance and corporate performance management. She has thirteen years experience of carrying out in-depth assessments of the corporate business and governance functions, of housing organisations including large national housing groups. She has also been carrying out regulatory rescues - assisting associations to develop strategies to address problems, providing an independent assessment and opinion of performance and giving advice and guidance on regulatory requirements.

Jeanette

Jeanette McGarry is an experienced Chief Executive, Director and Chair of Local Strategic Partnership in local government, with a strong record of delivering sustainable organisational change particularly within Environmental Services. Experienced in outsourcing and procurement service redesign generating significant savings and major improvements in service delivery including: town centre regeneration, sustainable improvement, securing private sector investment and major retail/housing development. She identified £13m additional income and service improvements, as part of a bid to run environmental and regulatory services on behalf of a London Borough and housing services; a £2.4m housing maintenance overcharge/fraud as well as secured delivery of a Decent Homes programme; and a £400m PFI housing initiatives. She introduced a corporate cultural transformation programme, embedding performance management, planning for inspections, service improvement and greater corporate pace and energy. Jeanette has experience of working in the private, public and third sectors. She has led most services within local government including the Fire Service. She trained as a Chartered Accountant, was elected to the S. East Regional TUC where she campaigned for jobs during the 1980s and served as SOLACE board member for 8 years.
