We have now launched a Tenants Scrutiny Toolkit specifically for Scotland. The guide is based on the principles of the English and Welsh equivalent, but has been re-written for use in Scotland, reflecting the Scottish systems and standards.

Resident Scrutiny is quite a step for many of the English providers, but with Scotland's long tradition of resident involvement, Tenant Scrutiny could be an easier evolution rather than revolution. Scrutiny delivers a number of benefits to RSL's:

Provides a critical friend challenge to decision makers
Is carried out by independent panels of residents
Drives improvements in services
Informs the regulation and audit process
